Flight Planning for IFPLS: Making Every Flight Safe and Efficient

At IFPLS, flight planning is a crucial part of ensuring the safety and efficiency of every flight. Our experienced flight planners use the latest technology and weather data to create detailed flight plans that consider a wide range of factors, from fuel consumption to air traffic control restrictions.

Whether you're flying a small private plane or a large commercial aircraft, flight planning is essential to every flight. It helps you save time and fuel and ensures you can reach your destination safely and on time. At IFPLS, we use advanced flight planning software to create detailed flight plans that consider everything from weather conditions to air traffic control restrictions.

Here are some of the key elements of a flight plan:
Route: The most significant aspect of the flight plan is the route. Our flight planners find the most cost-effective and secure path for your flight by considering variables like fuel consumption, weather, and air traffic control restrictions.
Altitude: The altitude of your flight is also an important factor in flight planning. Our flight planners use wind data to determine the most fuel-efficient altitude for your flight.
Speed: Another important consideration in flight planning is flight speed. Our flight planners choose the fastest and safest speed for your flight after considering the weather and air traffic control restrictions.
Fuel: Fuel consumption is a critical factor in flight planning. Our flight planners use advanced software to determine the amount of fuel required for your flight, considering factors such as wind speed, altitude, and flight speed.

At IFPLS, we take flight planning seriously and always aim to create the most efficient and safe flight plans for our clients. If you're looking for a trusted aviation partner, look no further than International Flight Planning Solutions. Contact us today to learn more about our flight planning services at ops@ifpls.aero

Overflight and Landing Permits

Overflight and landing permits are mandatory for all aircraft operating in international airspace. These permits are required for safety, security, and regulatory compliance purposes. They are obtained from the relevant aviation authorities of the countries in which aircraft will fly over or land. However, the process of obtaining these permits can be time-consuming and complex. Airlines and operators must provide detailed information about their flight plans, aircraft type and registration, and crew information. Also, permit fees vary depending on the country and type of operation.

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) sets standards for overflight and landing permit procedures. Airlines and operators must stay up-to-date with the latest regulations and ensure they have the necessary permits before every flight.

IFPLS Flight Support has built vital relationships with Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA) all over the world over the years. As a result, we can provide the quickest turnaround time when looking for the required permits and flight clearances. IFPLS manages airspace clearance for a variety of flights, including those operated by commercial airlines, VIP flight providers, and emergency aviation.

Algeria has the tenth-largest natural gas reserve in the world and is the sixth-largest natural gas exporter. The oil and gas sector is the country’s main source of revenues, generating about 70% of total budget receipts, therefore Algeria is the most active country for business and Commercial flights and has a huge number of domestic and international airports to facilitate the transportation between the different parts of the country.

Houari Boumediene Airport, also known as Algeria Airport or Algeria International Airport, is the main international airport serving the capital of Algeria. The airport has a restricted schedule when it comes to its working hours depending on the day of the week, but you can extend the working hours upon request.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic; Air, land, and sea borders have faced long closure. Travelers and Air operators should check with the Algerian authorities for any entry requirements including exemptions.

Previously, entry was limited to Algerian nationals returning on repatriation flights from abroad, foreign nationals with diplomatic visas, and employees of foreign companies operating in Algeria. There was a process set out by the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs relating to requests for authorization to enter Algeria.

Travelers who think they are eligible to enter Algeria despite all borders being closed shall need to contact their employer and/or their country’s Embassy in Algeria for more information on this process.

Generally, Travelers should check with the Algerian authorities for any entry requirements including COVID testing. Previous requirements included evidence of a negative PCR test no more than 72 hours before arrival. Vaccinated personnel shall also check with the authorities if their type and date of vaccine are acceptable to enter the country.

Algerian authorities may require quarantine for a short time. Previous quarantine requirements were a compulsory 14-day stay at a state facility, or own accommodation (if diplomatic), or company accommodation (if authorized by the Prime Minister).

Moreover, all airlines are allowed to land in Algeria for Technical refueling only, while it is still difficult to obtain overnight crew rest in Algeria, Also Cargo flights are allowed to land for import or export activities.

Curaçao , Aruba (Beatrix), Bonaire (Curacao Air Navigation Charges)

A tiny island in the Caribbean Sea in the Dutch Caribbean region, Curaçao, Aruba, and Bonaire form together the ABC islands. Consist of too many small main lands with huge Flight information regions in the Sky, these Barely visible countries on the map can cause you troubles in the sky if you are not aware of their Navigation charges and repeatedly "decline messages" you may face when you filed your flight plan that is crossing (TNCF FIR).

Operators who plan a transit flight (TNCF FIR) and do not have an account or insufficient deposit in their account, cannot transit (TNCF FIR). Our account is always ready to serve your flight and to cover your Navigation charges as needed by the Curaçao Flight Information Region.

Lebanon Navigation Charges, Overflight Permits Fees

Lebanon Civil Aviation Authority is providing overflight permits and landing permits to the applicant directly, but they would prefer to apply via an agent who is responsible for paying the Air navigation fees on behalf of the operator.

Lebanon Civil Aviation authority bans old Russian aircraft such as Antonov, Ilyushin, Beriev, Sukhoi, Tupolev, or  Yakovlev that are older than 15 years old to operate in Lebanon, Exceptional permits may be approved if the aircraft may have diplomatic clearance and proven the aircraft qualifications, airworthiness, and performance are safe to operate without any problems.

Lebanon Overflight permits and Landing permits are issued by the Lebanese CAA free of charge, only stamp fees and AFTN shall be paid later after getting the CAA answer, regardless if the permit is approved or not, canceled or operated. Lebanon CAA issue AFTN fees to the applicant for each aircraft registration to cover the internal and external correspondences that use AFTN messages, the AFTN charge invoices will vary based on the number of characters used in the application and the permit messages and several messages sent, and received by Lebanese CAA, some AFTN invoices maybe reach over 100 USD if you didn’t apply for your permit wisely,  therefore, it is highly recommended to apply it via a local agent who can minimize the number of messages and can coordinate most CAA procedures via cheaper communication methods such as phones and direct by hand applications.

Air navigation charges shall be collected from each aircraft overflying Lebanese Airspace, by the maximum take-off weight (MTOW) as follows:

Aircraft MTOW 70 tons or less: 50 USD

Aircraft MTOW over 70 tons: 100 USD

Should you need any further information, or you may need any assistance to get your Lebanon overflight or landing permit, please don’t hesitate to contact our 24/7 operations: ops@ifpls.aero
