derived from its historical status as the capital of the Byzantine and Ottoman
Empires. these include the Sultan Ahmed Mosque “Blue Mosque”, the Hagia Sophia,
the Topkapı Palace, the Basilica Cistern, the Dolmabahçe Palace, the Galata
Tower, and the Grand Bazaar. Istanbul has also recently become one of the biggest shopping
centers in the European region by introducing malls and shopping centers, such
as Metrocity, Akmerkez, and Cevahir Mall.
For
example, the Hagia Sophia (Aya Sofya) Mosque is one of the most important
symbols of Istanbul, it is also a center of religious, political, and artistic
life for the Byzantines and provided people with many useful scholarly insights.
It is also an important site of Muslim worship after Sultan Mehmed II conquered
Constantinople in 1453 and designated the structure a mosque.
Ankara (The capital of Turkey) is the second most populated city in
Turkey. It is rich in Turkish culture along with history from ancient
civilizations. The most famous landmark is the Anıtkabir as it has visitors
from all around its own country and world, especially during national holidays.
The Anıtkabir is a mausoleum for Atatürk, which is the founder of the Republic
of Turkey. Another Paleolithic landmark would be the Museum of Anatolian

Turkey. As well as the actual mausoleum, with its lavish use of marble, the
site, centered around a vast plaza, contains a large museum complex. Visitors

Region of Turkey. These days millions of travelers who love historical places
and the ancient world visit Ephesus consistently, enjoying both ancient history
